As \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcguardian\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of the Live Systems, you would ensure maximum availability of core systems and that performance monitoring is in place and appropriate system capacity planning is undertaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintenance of\nInfrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Provide infrastructure services management, enable technical\ninnovation and leverage of IT trends that can create business value to assist\nwith the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s requirements and expectations.<\/li><li>Lead large strategic technology initiatives to build\nand maintain key elements of the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s infrastructure and associated\nproduct portfolio, including but not limited to 24&#215;7 data centre infrastructure\nmanagement and evolution, remote access services and enterprise-scale database\nenvironments.<\/li><li>Procure and\ntrack all company computer hardware and software purchases and maintain a 4-yearly\nrefresh programme.<\/li><li>Carry out annual\ntechnology and user audits.<\/li><li>Manage the provision and maintenance of 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\nparty infrastructure to agreed SLA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s including hosting, personal computing support\nand networking at all major NGC locations.<\/li><li>Manage all NGC owned servers, switches, firewalls and\nrouters.<\/li><li>Maintain appropriate licenses and subscriptions for\ncomputer hardware and software.<\/li><li>Contribute to the Leadership team and produce reports\nwhen required.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IT Governance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Manage system\nsecurity, network management, performance monitoring and alerting, ensure\nappropriate backups are in place and retained for all systems.<\/li><li>Ensure a comprehensive disaster recovery arrangement\nis maintained and operations are in place to ensure compliance during business\ncontinuity events.<\/li><li>Work with Compliance Director in the development, adoption\nand enforcement of Information Security policies, procedures and standards. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>People Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Supervises IT staff, including scheduling; assigning and directing work; onboarding new employees; overseeing or conducting training; addressing complaints and resolving problems; taking disciplinary action; and ensuring high performance standards. <\/li><li>Support others through coaching and listening and encouraging their development by providing opportunities to grow.<\/li><li>Seek to understand what motivates others and regularly give feedback to support them and increase their performance.<\/li><li>Display own emotions appropriately to engage with others and build relationships.<\/li><li>Set clear expectations and hold people to account for delivery against objectives and deadlines.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competency Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Extensive knowledge of data centre operations, telecommunications, network engineering, data centre applications, client\/server computing and production operations support. <\/li><li>Specific\ntechnologies of note include Microsoft Server &amp;
